Our Story
CinBADD Charters was started in April of 1988. My wife named the business CinBADD (and the boat) after everyone in our immediate family. The “Cin” is her name “Cindy.” The letters in “BADD” are my adult children’s names, “Brad, Amy, Dawn, and my name Dick.” That’s how the name CinBADD was born.
I grew up, along with my older brother, fishing with my parents throughout my childhood. We did a lot of fishing at the nearby reservoirs for crappie and at the rivers for bullhead and catfish. I was “hooked” the 1st time I got a bite on my fishing pole and I’ve been fishing ever since. I can remember Mom packing a picnic lunch and the whole family setting on the bank of the river, eating a sandwich, waiting for the fishing pole to bend, signalling a “bite.” What wonderful memories I have of those carefree days.
As I grew up my fishing experiences extended to Lake Erie and walleye fishing. From the very 1st time I fished Lake Erie I was hooked. Walleye , smallmouth bass, and perch fishing were all fantastic. My parents, and later my own family, all enjoyed fishing on board the CinBADD.
I’ve been fishing Lake Erie since the mid 1970’s and I have been running the Charter business since 1988. I love taking people out for a great day on the Lake where memories are made for a lifetime. If you have a couple of hours sometime, stop by and say hi and I’ll share some of them with you, but I must warn you, my wife says that once I get started it’s hard to get me to stop.
The biggest reason I run fishing charters is just because I get to put smiles on people’s faces and memories in their heart. I know this is true because I have experienced these things for myself. Thanks Mom and Dad.
